LPGA names Marvol Barnard

2016 Teacher of the Year


When the LPGA selected her as the 2016 Teacher of the Year it was summarized this way:


“What makes Barnard stand out among her peers is that she created a Player Development Pathway, creating tremendous growth in play and participation that brings together all aspects of her professional life. Her programs include a Golf 101 program, The Next Step, Go Go Golf, Play Smart Golf, Nine and Wine, the Swing School, and many more.”

Southwest Section PGA Player Development Award


The Southwest Section PGA Player Development Award is designed to recognize a PGA Professional for extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievements in the area of player development. This award considers the PGA Professional's growth of the game leadership commitment at the Section level and the impact made at her facility.

PGA Southern Chapter, Southwest Section Player Development Award (2015)  This inaugural award was given to Marvol for her innovative and creative lesson programming in growing golf at her facility and community.


Advanced PGA Certified Professional Status


Marvol achieved this status in both Player Development and Teaching and Coaching.  She joins a special group of PGA Professionals--less than 4.5% of the entire membership--who hold either of these career specific advanced education certifications.


 2013  Nancy Lopez Award


DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., September 5, 2013 – Marvol Barnard, an 11-year veteran of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) is the recipient of the 2013 Nancy Lopez Golf Achievement Award, which recognizes an LPGA professional who gives back to the game in the spirit of Nancy Lopez.
